DIGISETUP(8) BSD System Manager's Manual DIGISETUP(8)NAME
digisetup - download firmware to Digi International serial host adapters
SYNOPSIS
digisetup [-a] [-v version] [-l lines] [-o] device-name
DESCRIPTION
Digisetup is used to test and initialize a Digi International serial host
adapters (see digi(4)). The device specified is tested to make sure the
on-board memory functions properly, and then the firmware is downloaded
to the board. The device specified can be any line on the board.
Digisetup needs to be run once for each Digiboard multiplexer in the sys-
tem. It does not need to be run for each line attached to a given multi-
plexer.
The options include:
-a Alternate DSR and DCD line configuration. This switches DSR and
DCD lines so that users with RJ45 connectors can use an 8-conduc-
tor cable and not lose any real functionality.
-v version
If problems are seen with the latest version of firmware this flag
can be used to load older versions. For Acceleport Xem and Ac-
celeport Xr the default version is 2, for all other boards the de-
fault version is 1.
-l lines
Obsolete, ignored. Older version of the digisetup could not de-
tect the number of lines present on Acceleport Xem or Acceleport
Xr products. This functionality has been added to Digisetup.
-o Obsolete, ignored. This flag use to be used to select an alter-
nate/older version of the firmware. Now that more than two possi-
ble versions of the firmware exist this flag is ignored.
