git-ssnoq — display a status summary for files known to a Git repository
SYNOPSIS
git-ssnoq [<options...>] [--] [<pathspec>...]
DESCRIPTION
The git-ssnoq utility displays a short status summary (similar to git-ss
or “git status --short”) that only describes the files known to the Git
repository, i.e. in either its contents or index. It passes all command-
line arguments to git-status(1).
RETURN VALUES
The git-ssnoq utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.

EXAMPLES
Show a status summary for the current Git repository:
git ssnoq
Filter only the C source files from the summary of the src/ subdirectory:
git ssnoq src | egrep -e '.c$'
