       msgget -

       SYS$ASSIGN - Assign I/O channel

EXPLAINATION
       The  Digital  UNIX msgget system call provides functionality similar to
       the OpenVMS SYS$ASSIGN system service.  The  msgget  system  call  will
       retrieve	 a  key	 for  a message queue.	Messages can be read using the
       msgrcv and sent using the msgsnd system calls.
