NAME
mmap - map a file into memory

SYS$CRETVA - Create virtual address space

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX mmap system call provides functionality similar to the
OpenVMS SYS$CRETVA system service. The mmap call can be called to map
the zero device's special file, /dev/zero, into the virtual memory map
for the process. This memory is cleared as it is demand paged.	It is
possible to have the system determine the starting address for the mem‐
ory map, but it is also possible to specify the address directly. Mem‐
ory mapped in with mmap must be unmapped with munmap.
