NAME
fcntl - control open file descriptors

SYS$ENQW - Queue lock request and wait

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX fcntl system call provides functionality similar to
the OpenVMS SYS$ENQW system service in that it allows the calling func‐
tion to enqueue a lock on a portion of a file and block until that lock
is ready. The system call will also unblock and return an error if a
signal arrives during the fcntl call.
