NAME
       exit - terminate a process

       SYS$EXIT - Exit/terminate process

EXPLAINATION
       The  Digital UNIX exit system call and the OpenVMS SYS$EXIT system ser‐
       vice are very similar.  Both terminate the calling process.   The  exit
       system call takes an integer value, zero is used to indicate a success‐
       ful execution;  other  values  are  used	 to  indicate  that  an	 error
       occurred.
