NAME
fcntl - control open file descriptors

       SYS$GETLKI - Get lock information

SYS$GETLKIW - Get lock information and wait

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX fcntl system call provides functionality similar to
the OpenVMS SYS$GETLKI system service in that it allows the calling
function to obtain information about a locked portion of a file. Spec‐
ifying a command (second) parameter of F_GETLK and a flock structure
describing the	lock in a fcntl system call will result in the flock
structure being passed back with an indication of the lock that would
block the call. If the call would not block, the l_type field is set
to F_UNLCK. This is a synchronous call.
