NAME
getclock - get current value of system wide clock

       gettimeofday - get time

time - get system time and date

       SYS$GETTIM - Get system time

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX getclock function is similar to the OpenVMS SYS$GETTIM
system service.	The getclock function can get the system time by spec‐
ifying the TIMEOFDAY clock for the first parameter and the address of a
timespec struct for the second parameter. The getclock function has a
very high resolution. If this high resolution is not needed, the time
function may be used. The gettimeofday system call is provided for
       compatablity reasons.
