NAME
sigsend, kill - send a signal

       SYS$SUSPND - Suspend process

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX sigsend system call provides functionality similar to
the OpenVMS SYS$SUSPND system service. Sending a SIGTSTP signal to a
process asks the process to suspend itself. The SIGTSTP signal is gen‐
erally used by job control shells in an interactive environment to sus‐
pend processes. The SIGSTOP signal will force a processes to suspend
itself.	The SIGSTOP signal cannot be caught or ignored.
