NAME
mapcatcher - the debian distribution of the GMapCatcher offline map
       viewer

DESCRIPTION
GMapCatcher downloads tiles automatically from many providers then dis‐
plays them using a custom GUI. User may view maps offline. GMapCatcher
is independent of map providers' javascript so should work even	though
the scripts may change. It also provides a downloading tool. See map‐
       downloader(1)

INTERFACE
when you view maps while connected to the internet, GMapCatcher down‐
loads map tiles as needed; 'force update' allows re-downloading of
       tiles

when in offline mode, tiles you have already downloaded - then automat‐
ically saved - are visible; scroll to change zoom level

the 'bulk download' window allows you to download all map tiles for an
area you set, between zoom levels you set

the 'visual path download' feature allows you to download all map tiles
in a region of the screen, at up to a zoom level you set, to allow you
to map a specific path - ctrl-scroll /	shift scroll to change its
       parameters

keyboard shortcuts, additional mouse features, etcetera are documented
