ORACLEASM-EXIT(8) Oracle ASM Support Manual ORACLEASM-EXIT(8)NAMEoracleasm-exit - Shut down and unload the Oracle ASMLib driver.
SYNOPSIS
oracleasm exit [-l <manager>] [-v]
oracleasm exit -h
oracleasm exit -V
DESCRIPTION
The exit command unloads, if possible, the Oracle ASMLib driver after
shutting down the MANAGER device. The shutdown may fail if the manager
device is in use. The unload will only happen after all manager devices
are shut down.
The manager device is considered to be in use if there are still
instantiated disks. The disks can be dropped with oracleasm-
dropdisks(8).
OPTIONS
-l|--manager <manager>
Specifies the manager device to be shut down. Almost always
unnecessary, as only one manager device is in use.
-v|--verbose
Verbose operation. This will print any debugging information.
-h|--help
Display usage information.
-V|--version
Display version information.
EXAMPLES
oracleasm exit
Shut down the default manager device and unload the Oracle ASMLib
driver.
