PTREE_CREATE_NODE(3PICLTREE)PTREE_CREATE_NODE(3PICLTREE)NAME
ptree_create_node, ptree_destroy_node - create or destroy a node
SYNOPSIS
cc [ flag... ] file... -lpicltree [ library... ]
#include <picltree.h>
int ptree_create_node(char *name, char *clname,
picl_nodehdl_t *nodeh);
int ptree_destroy_node(picl_nodehdl_t nodeh);
DESCRIPTION
The ptree_create_node() function creates a node and sets the "name"
property value to the string specified in name and the "class" property
value to the string specified in clname. The handle of the new node is
copied into the location given by nodeh.
The ptree_destroy_node() function destroys the node specified by nodeh
and frees up any allocated space. The node to be destroyed must have
been previously deleted by ptree_delete_node (see
ptree_add_node(3PICLTREE)). Otherwise, PICL_CANTDESTROY is returned.
RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, 0 is returned. On failure, a non-negative
integer is returned to indicate an error.
PICL_STALEHANDLE is returned if the handle is no longer valid. This
occurs if the PICL tree was refreshed or reinitialized.
PICL_INVALIDHANDLE is returned if the specified handle never existed.
