NAME
sgsafte - get SAF-TE status and set disk LEDs

SYNOPSIS
       sgsafte [-defmnrx]

DESCRIPTION
Sgsafte	is a program that uses the SCSI Generic interface to send spe‐
cific SCSI commands to obtain the SAF-TE hotswap backplane slot sta‐
tuses, and to optionally set a disk fault LED.

The SCSI Generic interface requires that the kernel .config file have
       CONFIG_CHR_DEV_SG set.

A log file, named sgsafte.log is created in the /var/log directory
which logs the status of the functions and any errors.

OPTIONS
Command line options are described below.

-? This option displays a summary of the commands accepted.

-d Specifies the drive number to set (0, 1, ...) as displayed in
	      the sgsafte display.

-e Causes any file writes to be avoided, such as the log file.

-m Use More than 8-byte serial numbers (i.e. 12 bytes). Some disk
vendors use longer serial numbers. The default is to detect
either 8 or 12 byte serial numbers from the SCSI inquiry
	      response.

-n Naming.	By default, the device names are displayed as numeric
sequences (/dev/sg0). This option shows	the device names as
	      alphabetic sequences (/dev/sga).

-x Causes extra debug messages to be displayed.
