NAME
tpad - A portable WinXP enhanced Notepad clone

SYNOPSIS
       tpad [-Rh] [+#] [file ...]
       tview [-h] [+#] [file ...]

DESCRIPTION
tpad (Tcl Pad) is a simple and easy to use graphical text editor, very
similar to Windows Notepad. It is written entirely in Tcl/Tk.

OPTIONS
tpad accepts all of the wish(1) command-line options along with the
       additional options listed below:

-R Start in read-only mode, as if the command name was tview. This
makes tpad similar to a pager like more(1) or less(1).

+# Move the cursor to line '#' at startup.

-h Print a help message and exit.

ENVIRONMENT
DISPLAY to get the default host and display number.

FILES
       /usr/local/bin/tpad
The executable, a wish(1) shell script.

       /usr/local/etc/tpad.conf
	      Default global configuration file.

       ~/.tpadrc
	      User's configuration file.

       ~/.tpad_history
Default name of the file in which the opened file history is
	      saved.

BUGS
The -R option implementation is a quick hack, neither perfect nor effi‐
cient. Don't use it with very large files.
