SYNOPSISxgettext [options] filename
DESCRIPTION
The xgettext command automates the generation of portable object
file(s) by extracting strings from the specified filename(s). Typically
the filename is a C/C++ source module containing "C language" strings.
The portable object files can then be processed into message object
files with the msgfmt command.
OPTIONS
There are a number of options that can be specified with this command.
Type xgettext-h to display their meaning.
SCL IMPLEMENTATION NOTES
This command is implemented by the GNU gettext package. This is not
supplied with SCL but can be downloaded from GNU distribution sites or
obtained from the Freeware Source CD that is supplied with Tru64 UNIX.

gettext documentation using the info command once the GNU gettext pack‐
age has been installed.
