prep.flop --
build kernel and commands for the Install Diskette
Synopsis
prep.flop [-c] [-k | -K] [-u] [-q]
Description
The prep.flop script provides the mechanism by
which the kernel, commands and scripts are created and/or prepared
for use on the Install Diskette.
Options are as follows:
-c
Builds the commands and prepares scripts used for the Install Diskette.
Must be used the first time prep.flop is executed.
-k
Builds a kernel to be used for the Install Diskette.
-K
Builds a kernel with kdb to be used for the Install Diskette.
NOTE: Either -k or -K must be used the first
time prep.flop is executed.
-u
Using this options always invokes /usr/ccs/bin/mcs to remove
the .comment of all binaries created by this script and all
previously built binaries that are used on the Install Diskette.
-q
This option assumes prep.flop has been executed already.
Use of this option will build the kernel using the already
existing etc/conf tree under $ROOT/.$MACH rather than
copying it from $ROOT/$MACH.
