NAME
signal-mech - System V vs BSD Signal Handling Differences
DIFFERENCES
System V and Berkeley (BSD) variants of UNIX developed 2 different sets
of functions for manipulating signals. Although Digital UNIX provides
libraries that include both BSD or System V functions, Digital suggests
that code written to manipulate signals use the POSIX standard func‐
tions.
The category signal-mech(5) describes these 3 sets of functions.
