NAME
       tell - Return current access position for an open channel

SYNOPSIS
       tell channelId
_________________________________________________________________

DESCRIPTION
       Returns	a  decimal  string giving the current access position in chan‐
       nelId.  The value returned is -1 for channels that do not support seek‐
       ing.
